Down Clothes is very popular to consumers for its fine features such as soft, comfortable, keep warm and etc. Along with the people’s life standard is improved unceasingly, down clothes came into thousands of families.
To assert legal rights of consumers and promote the health development of the industry, AQSIQ made a national supervision sampling inspection for the quality of down clothes product, products from 7 provinces , municipalities directly under the jurisdiction of Central Government were inspected, the sample pass rate is 67.9%（not relate to export products）.(7 provinces, municipalities directly under the jurisdiction of Central Government: Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Jiangsu)
This sampling inspection was mainly aim at down clothes product of small enterprises, it is indicated in the result of inspection that partial products of small enterprises have less market share but have more quality problems.
The main quality problems founded in this inspection are as following:
1 Mark of eiderdown content was not corresponding with actual eiderdown content. National standard state: the eiderdown content of down clothes should not lower than 50%. There was 9 kinds products eiderdown content were unqualified, and 2 of them eiderdown content test value was zero.
2 Fluffiness degree of eiderdown was unqualified. Fluffiness degrees of eiderdown directly affect resilience, keep warm-degree and comfortable-degree. There were 7 kinds products eiderdown fluffiness degree failed to meet standard requirements.
3 Color fastness of fabric was not up to standard requirements. There were 5 kinds products color fastness of fabric were unqualified, that is 29.4% of total number of unqualified products.
For the problems reflected in this inspection, AQSIQ will ask related quality technology supervision departments to strictly punish the unqualified enterprises in this inspection for product quality in accordance with the laws and regulations, and ask them to correct and reform within a definite time. Basing on the principle of “help excellent and punish bad” and “guide consumable market”, widely advertise the well-qualified products and factories in the quality supervision sampling inspection and expose bad-qualified products and factories to guide consumable market, then make a trustable and satisfied consumer environment for the customers.
